«Юрген Клопп называет свою обновленную команду «Ливерпулем 2.0», но наблюдение за ними напоминает о том, какой была его команда в лучшие годы. 

«Ливерпулю» определенно нужно было немного освежиться летом, так как я не уверен, что в прошлом сезоне у кого-то из их игроков были силы, чтобы играть так, как хотел Клопп. Тройка нападающих все еще давила, но полузащитники не могли их поддерживать. Соперники строили игру через них и создавали «Ливерпулю» массу проблем.

Сейчас все по-другому, и то, что мы видим, больше похоже на футбол в стиле хэви-метал, который мы видели, когда Клопп выиграл Лигу чемпионов и Премьер-лигу. «Ливерпуль» снова прессингует по всему полю, и наличие более молодой, подтянутой и сильной полузащиты сыграло огромную роль в этом», – написал бывший вратарь «Ньюкасла» и «Манчестер Сити».
